Long before Rivendell was ever built on screen, it was painted. This new diorama rebuilds that hidden valley from the ground up — not a re-release of Weta Workshop's beloved original (retired years ago after the old moulds became unusable), but a genuinely new piece, built larger and more faithful to the films than anything attempted before.

This version goes further than the original ever did, including the courtyard where the Council of Elrond took place — the ground where the Fellowship was formed and the fate of the Ring decided, a location never before physically realised as part of the wider Rivendell scene. The layout follows one of the film's sweeping wide shots that reveals the valley in full, with more of the surrounding mountains, waterways, and architectural detail than any previous Weta Workshop take on the location.

Digitally sculpted by Kathryn Parr, Bawal Saggi, and Simon Lissaman, with additional physical sculpture by Leonard Ellis, this diorama is crafted primarily from polystone and measures 28 x 52 x 19cm. Limited to 1,000 pieces worldwide, it's a genuine return-to-form piece for Weta Workshop, and a striking centrepiece for any serious Lord of the Rings collection.

This particular run also includes a genuine bonus while stock lasts: a limited edition art print reproducing original concept art by Paul Lasaine, the visual effects art director who helped shape Middle-earth for the films — included free with early orders, not sold separately.

Demand for the original Rivendell environment never faded even after it went out of production years ago — this rebuilt version is limited to 1,000 pieces worldwide, and given how long collectors have been asking for its return, we wouldn't expect it to last long once live.
